Use your benefits

Pay for hydration with HSA/FSA

Most electrolyte powders only qualify as an HSA/FSA expense if you first get a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from your doctor. Saltivate skips that step. We are a recognized HSA/FSA eligible product, so you can pay with your HSA or FSA card right at checkout, with no letter and no paperwork. How it works: add to cart as usual, then choose the HSA/FSA payment option at checkout and pay directly with your benefits card.

HSA/FSA questions

Are electrolytes HSA or FSA eligible?
It depends on the product. In general, electrolytes are only HSA/FSA eligible if you have a Letter of Medical Necessity from a doctor. Saltivate is the exception: we are recognized as an eligible HSA/FSA product, so you can pay with your HSA or FSA card at checkout without any letter or paperwork.
Can you buy electrolytes with an HSA or FSA card?
Yes. You can buy Saltivate electrolytes directly with your HSA or FSA card at checkout and pay with pre-tax dollars. Most HSA/FSA cards run on the Visa or Mastercard network, so they work like any other card.
What if my card is declined?
Some cards limit purchases by merchant category. If that happens, pay with a regular card and submit the itemized receipt we email you to your plan administrator for reimbursement.
Do I need a doctor's note?
Not for Saltivate. Many electrolyte brands require a Letter of Medical Necessity from your doctor before they count as an HSA/FSA expense. Because Saltivate is a recognized HSA/FSA eligible product, you can skip the letter and simply pay with your HSA or FSA card at checkout.
Can I use HSA/FSA on a subscription?
Yes, as long as your card is valid at the time each order is placed.
