Sparkling Saltivate

Your rating
La Croix flavored seltzer poured over ice with a jar of Saltivate Raw Unflavored

This sparkling electrolyte water is the fastest upgrade in the Saltivate playbook: one serving of Saltivate, a tall glass of ice, and cold sparkling water. Over plain sparkling water, any flavor works; over flavored sparkling water, Raw Unflavored adds the salt without competing. Because the mix has zero sugar and no stevia, it drinks like a clean homemade soda that happens to carry 800mg of sodium. It takes about a minute and stands in for a soft drink at dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 serving Saltivate (Raw Unflavored over flavored sparkling water, any flavor over plain)
  • 12 oz (350 ml) Sparkling water
  • 1 cup Ice

Steps

  1. Fill a tall glass with ice.
  2. Stir in the Saltivate.
  3. Top with sparkling water and stir gently.

Per serving: 0g sugar. 10 kcal and 2g carbs with a flavored stick, about zero with Raw Unflavored.

Serving suggestions and variations

  • Pick a lane. Orange reads like a citrus soda, Watermelon like a summer spritzer, and Mango Pineapple like something off a beach menu.
  • Citrus edge. A squeeze of lime or a strip of orange peel makes it taste more like a bar-made soda.
  • Keep the fizz. Dissolve the powder in a splash of still water first, then top with the sparkling water and stir gently.
