Who's behind the table
Why I started Saltivate
Max mixed the first batches on a kitchen scale.
I sweat heavily when I train, and after a long workout I sometimes step off the scale two pounds lighter, nearly all of it sweat. Replacing the salt changed how I recovered, but every mix I tried was low on sodium and tasted over-flavored. So I bought a kitchen scale and blended my own: 800mg of sodium per serving, plus potassium and magnesium, zero sugar, sweetened with Reb M from fermented rice instead of stevia.
Saltivate is based in Hull, MA. Most weekends you will find me at a fair, a finish line, or a gym somewhere on the South Shore, handing out samples and listening. Every lot is tested by an independent lab and the results are public.
