  1. best tasting electrolyte flavor

watermelon from saltivate is by far the best flavor electrolyte I've tried from any brand. I don't find that it's excessively salty or has any other off taste. while it's not a 100% realistic watermelon flavor, it's pretty close, reminiscent of a jolly rancher but way better. also with an issue with shipping delay I contacted them about, Max responded right away with amazing customer service which I appreciated. he seemed to take the issue seriously rather than treating it as an isolated delay incident, so I feel pretty comfortable ordering again in the future.

  2. After looking at my electrolyte needs (daily

After considering my electrolyte needs as a daily exerciser and occasional heavy sweater, along with taste, cost, and my sensitivity to highly acidic products, I switched from LMNT to Saltivate.

I really appreciate the flexibility of being able to purchase Saltivate in bulk and choose between flavored or raw, unflavored options. Overall, I’ve found Saltivate to be the perfect daily electrolyte product for me, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an effective, versatile electrolyte supplement for everyday hydration.

  4. I was excited to see a new flavor pop up and no

I was excited to see a new flavor pop up and no surprise Saltivate dropped another banger. I have tried a coupe other watermelon flavors and they always taste like a close approximation to the actual thing. I think this is the most accurate “watermelon” flavor I have ever tried. Delicious!

  5. Good addition to the collection

Great watermelon flavor. It tastes like if you put some salt and a watermelon jolly rancher in a 20oz bottle and fully dissolved it. Not too salty not too sweet. No weird sugar alternative aftertaste. I put one scoop in 40oz of iced water. It has less sodium than some of the other brands so I prefer this. I already had the mango pineapple flavor which is very good but I was getting bored of the flavor as I was getting to the bottom of my jar. I repurchased the mango pineapple but I also picked up this flavor and the unflavored version. They even threw in 2 single serve packs of the orange flavor for me to try. The powder is very finely milled so you have to open it far away from your face otherwise you will inhale it upon opening it. I keep it in my work bag so it gets shaken around which is probably why it billows out when I open it. It dissolves easily. Because I keep it in a bag it gets shaken up so I wish the scoop clicked into the lid on the inside or something. I have to wash my hands so I can dig into the powder to find the scoop since I work in healthcare. I could buy the packets but the jar is a better deal. I kept the stay dry pack in the jar but it did form into larger crystals in the jar at the end but I think its because I sometimes don't dry my hands enough before I dig for the scoop.

Questions, answered

Why so much sodium?

Sodium is the electrolyte you lose the most of in sweat, and sweat can carry anywhere from about 200 to over 1,800mg per liter, so it adds up fast on a hot or hard day. Most mixes go light on it. Saltivate is great for people who actually sweat: athletes, heavy sweaters, sauna and hot-weather use, fasting, and keto. Estimate your sweat loss

How much sodium is in each serving?

Every serving has 800mg sodium, 240mg potassium, and 60mg magnesium.

Is there any sugar or stevia?

No sugar and no stevia. Flavored mixes are sweetened with Reb M from fermented rice for a clean, zero-sugar taste. The unflavored mix has no sweetener at all.

Is Saltivate HSA/FSA eligible?

Yes. Saltivate qualifies as an eligible medical expense, so you can pay with your HSA or FSA card at checkout.

How do I use it?

Mix one scoop or stick into 16 to 32 oz of cold water. Stir or shake until it dissolves.

Is it keto and fasting friendly?

Yes. Every serving is zero sugar and zero carbs. Raw Unflavored has zero calories and no sweetener; the flavored mixes carry 10 calories. Electrolytes for keto

Has the formula changed?

Yes. The v2 formula raised potassium from 200mg to 240mg and switched it to potassium citrate for better taste, and raised magnesium from 50mg to 60mg in a finer powder that dissolves more easily. Sodium stays at 800mg from sodium chloride. The unflavored mix dropped vitamin C for better shelf stability, and the packaging was refreshed.

Does it contain maltodextrin?

We never add maltodextrin as a filler or bulking agent. Flavored mixes contain only trace amounts that come along with the natural flavoring, and the unflavored mix is completely maltodextrin-free, just the three mineral compounds.

What is the shelf life?

Two years from the date it is made, and we always ship with at least six months of shelf life remaining.

Will it make me bloated or retain water?

Saltivate contains none of the sugar alcohols (sorbitol, erythritol, xylitol) that cause most of the bloating people blame on zero-sugar electrolyte powders. Flavored mixes are sweetened only with Reb M, and Raw Unflavored has no sweetener at all. The 240mg potassium per serving also helps balance the sodium.

Is unflavored the same as tasteless?

No. Raw Unflavored tastes somewhat salty and enhances other flavors, because each serving carries 800mg sodium, about 2g of salt. Unflavored means no flavoring system is added, so no flavoring, no sweetener, and no acidulant. People stir it into water, coffee, smoothies, and cooking.
