Comparing electrolyte brands: FAQ

How do you compare electrolyte brands?

Every value comes from each brand's published label or product page: sodium, potassium, magnesium, sugar, sweeteners, and pack sizes. Prices are per serving from each brand's own store. We also show price per 1,000mg of electrolytes, so a cheap, near-empty serving can't hide behind a low sticker price.

Which electrolyte powder can you buy with an HSA/FSA card?

Saltivate is directly HSA/FSA eligible: pay with your benefits card at checkout, no Letter of Medical Necessity. Most other brands either do not qualify or route eligibility through a telehealth letter. The 'Pay with HSA/FSA card' row shows who takes the card directly.

What does price per 1,000mg of key electrolytes mean?

It divides the price of one serving by the combined milligrams of sodium, potassium, and magnesium in it, scaled to 1,000mg. It is the easiest way to spot mixes that cost little but also contain little.

Which electrolyte powders are sugar-free?

Several are sugar-free, including Saltivate at 0g with Reb M (not from stevia). Others carry real sugar: some popular mixes list 11g or more per serving. The Sugar and Sweetener rows show each brand's label values, including artificial sweeteners.

How is Saltivate different from LMNT?

LMNT has 1000mg sodium but uses stevia and runs about $1.50 a stick. Saltivate has 800mg sodium plus 240mg potassium and 60mg magnesium, uses Reb M instead of stevia, and takes HSA/FSA cards directly at checkout. Full breakdown on the Saltivate vs LMNT page.
