Tropical Electrolyte Slushie

Tropical mango pineapple electrolyte slushie with fresh fruit and a Saltivate stick packet

An electrolyte slushie is the easiest upgrade to a post-workout drink: frozen fruit, coconut water, and one stick of electrolyte powder, blended until it piles up like soft snow. Frozen mango stands in for ice, so nothing gets watered down. One Saltivate Mango Pineapple packet adds 800mg of sodium, 240mg of potassium, and 60mg of magnesium, the same minerals you lose in sweat, with zero sugar and no stevia. It takes about five minutes of hands-on time, blender to glass. Drink it after a hot run, a sauna session, or a long afternoon in the yard, when ice water feels thin and you want something cold enough to frost the glass.

Ingredients

Makes one 24 oz batch: two 12 oz slushies, or one big one.

  • 2 cups frozen mango chunks (about 10 oz)
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks (about 5 oz)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) chilled coconut water, plus more to thin
  • 1 Saltivate Mango Pineapple stick pack
  • Juice of half a lime (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour the coconut water into a blender, add the Mango Pineapple packet, and pulse a few seconds to dissolve.
  2. Add the frozen mango, frozen pineapple, and lime juice if using.
  3. Blend on high for 30 to 60 seconds, stopping to scrape down the sides or push the fruit toward the blades with a tamper, until thick and scoopable.
  4. Too thick to blend? Add coconut water 1 tablespoon at a time. Too thin? Toss in a few more frozen mango chunks.
  5. Pour into two glasses and serve immediately with a wide straw or spoon. Split two ways, each glass carries half a serving of electrolytes; finish the whole batch after a long, sweaty session and you get the full serving.

Tips

  • No coconut water? Plain cold water works; the slushie just leans harder into the mango pineapple flavor.
  • Swap in Raw Unflavored and this template works with any frozen fruit. It is plain, dissolving clear with a light salty edge that makes the fruit taste brighter.
  • Leftovers: freeze in an ice cube tray, then re-blend the cubes later with a splash of coconut water to bring the slush back.

One stick is all the recipe needs. Grab a 30-pack of Saltivate Mango Pineapple packets and keep a month of slushies in the cupboard.

Per serving: about 240 kcal (estimate).
