Salted Electrolyte Lemonade

Updated June 15, 2026

Pitcher of salted electrolyte lemonade with lemons and an open jar of Saltivate Raw Unflavored

Electrolyte lemonade is the drink Reddit's keto threads keep reinventing: fresh lemon juice, water, salt, repeat. This version skips the guesswork. One pitcher takes about 10 minutes of hands-on time, most of it juicing lemons, and two stick packs of Saltivate Raw Unflavored handle the mineral math: 800mg sodium, 240mg potassium, and 60mg magnesium per serving, split across four tall glasses. Because Raw Unflavored is plain and dissolves clear, the lemonade tastes like lemonade, just with a faint saline edge that makes the tartness pop, the way a pinch of salt sharpens grapefruit. Mix it up during the first rough week of a low-carb diet, after a sweaty afternoon outside, or any time plain water is not cutting it.

Ingredients

Makes one pitcher, about four 14 oz glasses. Each glass carries half a serving of electrolytes, or 400mg sodium.

  • 1 cup (240 ml) fresh lemon juice (5 to 6 large lemons)
  • 6 cups (1.4 L) cold water
  • 2 stick packs (or 2 scoops) Saltivate Raw Unflavored
  • 2 to 3 tbsp allulose or monk fruit (or honey or simple syrup if carbs are not a concern), to taste
  • Ice, plus lemon wheels for serving

Instructions

  1. Roll the lemons on the counter to loosen the juice, then halve and juice them. You want about 1 cup (240 ml). Strain out the seeds.
  2. Pour the lemon juice and 6 cups (1.4 L) of cold water into a pitcher.
  3. Add 2 stick packs of Raw Unflavored and stir for about 30 seconds. It dissolves clear, no grit, no chalky film.
  4. Sweeten to taste. Start with 2 tbsp, stir, and adjust. If you like it sharp, skip the sweetener entirely.
  5. Serve over ice with a lemon wheel, or chill the pitcher first for the coldest pour.

Tips

  • Single-glass version: the juice of 1 lemon, 16 to 24 oz (475 to 700 ml) of cold water, and 1 stick pack. That is a full serving of electrolytes in one glass.
  • Keeping it keto: use allulose or monk fruit, or go unsweetened. The salt rounds out the tartness more than you would expect.
  • Storage: cover and refrigerate up to 3 days. Give it a quick stir before pouring.

A 45-stick pouch of Raw Unflavored on-the-go packets makes 22 pitchers like this one, and the same sticks dissolve just as cleanly into coffee, broth, or plain water.

Per serving: about 50 kcal (estimate).
