The adrenal cocktail that took over wellness feeds is really just three things: orange juice, coconut water, and minerals, usually sea salt for sodium and cream of tartar for potassium. This version swaps both pantry powders for a single stick of Saltivate Orange, which brings 800mg of sodium, 240mg of potassium, and 60mg of magnesium with zero sugar and no stevia. The result tastes more like a citrus cooler than a supplement; pour one mid-morning or on days you sweat.
Ingredients
Makes one 16 oz glass, or two 8 oz glasses.
- 1 stick pack Saltivate Orange
- 1 cup (240 ml) orange juice, fresh-squeezed if you can
- 1 cup (240 ml) coconut water
- 1 tsp fresh lime juice (optional, for extra brightness)
- Ice, for serving
Instructions
- Pour the coconut water into a glass or jar.
- Add the Saltivate Orange stick pack and stir (or seal the jar and shake) until fully dissolved, about 30 seconds.
- Add the orange juice and lime juice, if using, and stir to combine.
- Fill a glass with ice, pour the drink over, and serve cold.
Serving suggestions and variations
- Pulp-free orange juice keeps the texture smooth, but fresh-squeezed tastes brightest. Either works.
- Splitting the batch into two 8 oz glasses gives each one about half a serving of electrolytes (around 400mg sodium). Drink the full 16 oz glass on heavier sweat days.
- Make it ahead: it keeps covered in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Give it a quick stir before drinking.
Per serving: about 90 kcal (estimate).
